This list is provided by 4x4Wire.com as a tool for Toyota 4x4 owners on the internet. The list is free for you to use. We only ask that you abide by some simple rules.

I could not possibly write a list of rules to cover every situation that will arise on this list, so I ask that you abide by the spirit of the rules, and do not give the list Administrators a hard time when then need to step in. The list Admin job is thankless as well as profitless, so cut them some slack. These rules will grow as needed. (If everyone keeps to the spirit of the rules it won't be needed)

First rule: 4x4Wire will never try to claim copyright to what you say on this list. The only stipulation to this is that by posting you give ORN the right to post the material. This is neccessary so that no one can come along and insist that all of their posts be removed. As you could imagine this would create a maintenance nightmare.

Advertising of a commercial nature is not permitted on the list. Vendors who subscribe to the list are ENCOURAGED to participate in technical discussions. Vendors may participate in discussions about their products as long as they keep it factual, do not bash their competition, and just generally keep their emotions out of the discussion. New product announcements are acceptable, but don't let this turn into advertising.

Vendor bashing by non-commercial members of this list will also not be tolerated. Keep it factual, please.

Personal stuff stays personal. This list is not a place to air dirty laundry. Enough said.

Technical Stuff

Do not post HTML or MIME messages to the list. Only send plain text emails to the list.

Do not send messages with 'return receipt requested' turned on.

Do not send attachments to the list... again, plain text only.

If your mailbox fills or your ISP goes does down and messages start bouncing back to the list, expect to be unsubscribed. You may resubscribe when the problem is cleared up. If this happens too you often you may not be permitted to resubscribe.

Do not quote excessive material in your replies to the list. Quoting an entire digest is almost guaranteed to get you unsubscribed.

Sig files must be four lines or less.

The Toyota 4x4 Online Archives
