"Erosion of refugia in the Sierra Nevada meadows network with climate change", by Sean Maher, Toni Lyn Morelli, Michelle Hershey, Alan Flint, Lorraine Flint, Craig Moritz, and Steven Beissinger. This study points to particular sites where conservation and restoration efforts could help protect meadows and the wildlife that live in them from the impacts of climate change. Meadows are critical for biodiversity and water storage for millions of Californians. By maximizing connectivity and climate refugia, these locations provide the most benefit for climate adaptation management.
