Oroville, CA – August 29, 2017 – Due to the Ponderosa Fire (Butte County, CA), there are several temporary recreation area closures on the Feather River Ranger District of the Plumas National Forest.  

  • Closed: Lumpkin Road (county road); use La Porte Road for recreation access
  • Closed: Feather Falls Campground and Trail
  • Closed: Golden Trout Campground

As a reminder, Sly Creek Rd (FS Road #21N16) remains closed (winter storm damage) just past the Sly Creek Boat Ramp.  The campground and boat ramp are open.


The Little Grass Valley Recreation Area is open as are other recreation areas across the Plumas National Forest.
